60th Anniversary John Mackintosh Hall Art Competition
16 Apr - 26 Apr
Schedule
From 18th Nov, 10:00 to 18th Nov, 11:00
The University's Gibraltar History Lectures aim to educate and enhance the community's knowledge of Gibraltar-related subjects as well as stimulate discussions and debate.
Delivered by expert guest speakers, these weekly talks have been developed in conjunction with the Silver Education Key Advisory Group. They are free and open to the public.
This tour centres on the life and artistic achievements of five of Gibraltar’s heritage artists, Gustavo Bacarisas, Leni Mifsud, Jacobo Azagury, Rudecindo Mannia and Mario Finlayson. One of the aims is to highlight the value of our cultural heritage and to enjoy the works on show in the National Gallery, which are varied in content, style and execution. The tour will show how our identity ties in with our historical past, and how these artists have played a role in documenting life and significant events over the last 100 years, at times influencing the community through their artwork.
*Please note we have a maximum capacity of 20 for this event. Spaces will be offered on a first come first served basis.
