THE GIBUNCO GIBRALTAR INTERNATIONAL LITERARY FESTIVAL 2014

The Government of Gibraltar is delighted to confirm that the Gibunco Group have
once again agreed to become the title sponsors of the Gibraltar International Literary
Festival, which will be held from 14th to 16th November 2014.
For the second year running this will be a partnership operation between HMGoG
and the Gibunco Group and the company has graciously agreed to increase their
sponsorship amount.
As in 2013 the benefits to the Group would include:-
- Named sponsorship of key speakers and events at the Festival.
- High profile promotion of the Group on the Festival website.
- Co-hosting with HMGoG of all key Festival events.
- All Festival events to be branded by the Group.
“This is indeed wonderful news. The first Festival in 2013 was a resounding success
and exceeded all our expectations. The Gibunco Group wholeheartedly supported
the first edition and have graciously agreed to continue with this partnership.” said the
Hon Neil Costa MP, Minister for Tourism, Commercial Affairs, Public Transport and
the Port. “This is a solid endorsement of the great impact this Festival has had in
Gibraltar’s cultural and tourism calendar. It is important to the Government to see
private enterprise supporting a policy of event led tourism, which the Festival
organising team and I work so hard to promote. Last year the Festival attracted
world-class speakers, renowned local authors and the attendance of many literature
enthusiasts. We are confident that the second edition will be consistent with the
precedent that has been set.”
The Chairman of the Gibunco Group, John Bassadone said, “We are delighted to be
supporting this world class event once again. The Gibunco Group is proud to be
associated with this highlight of Gibraltar’s event led tourism and cultural calendar.
