BRITISH AIRWAYS ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL 2 WEEKLY HEATHROW- GIBRALTAR SERVICES

The additional flights will operate early morning on Mondays and Fridays so that, as from 1st May 2016, double daily services will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. This will bring the weekly frequency of services offered to the London hub to 11.

Minister for Tourism, the Hon. Samantha Sacramento said;” We are extremely pleased that BA is adding additional capacity on this very popular service. The airline hereby affirms its commitment to Gibraltar. The new flights will allow business day returns from London on Mondays and Fridays, as well as additional connection opportunities on the airlines’ extensive network from Heathrow.

It will also allow additional long weekend break opportunities allowing visitors to maximise their stay on the Rock. This is now the second time during our term in office that HM Government of Gibraltar has worked with the airline to deliver more capacity to the Rock. This is a result of our tireless efforts to promote Gibraltar’s tourism industry. At a time when we have announced record numbers of travellers through Gibraltar International Airport, we have no doubt that the business community and the leisure industry will welcome this opportunity for  further growth and consequential benefits to the Rock’s economy.”

The additional services will be available for sale shortly on www.ba.com
