The Gibraltar Museum wins Film Festival Award with a short film on the Gorham’s Cave Complex UNESCO World Heritage Site

The Gibraltar Museum has won the Festival Award at the recent Twickenham Alive Film Festival 2016 with a short film showcasing the Gorham’s Cave Complex UNESCO World Heritage Site. The five minute film was submitted following the inscription of the Gorham’s Cave Complex in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in July 2016. “The Gibraltar Museum would like to thank everyone involved in the making of the film, especially Eugenio Robles as Director/Producer and HM Government of Gibraltar for sponsoring the project. We are also very grateful to the Twickenham Alive Film Festival for giving us the opportunity to show a wider audience the stunning cultural and natural heritage of Gibraltar. The award is an excellent additional celebration of the inscription of the Gorham’s Cave Complex as the United Kingdom’s 30th World Heritage Site earlier this year.” The Twickenham Alive Film Festival was established in 2012. The film festival invites submissions of short films, up to 10 minutes, based on four categories: • Films from within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames • Films from the United Kingdom • Films from outside the United Kingdom • Films by film students - open theme The short film ‘Gorham’s Cave Complex – A UNESCO World Heritage Site’ is available for watching on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/cZkkY7TbQlk
